Photo a day year four week 13 (the last week of 2012)

This week I concentrated on close-up festive images. We have fibre-optic lights, a Lego Father Christmas and reindeer cupcakes.

A winter walk

Today Husband and I went for a walk up to the garden centre on the Cambridge Road. This took us up Sollershot West, where there are some gob-smackingly gorgeous houses, a road I hadn’t trodden since the walks to David’s Bookshop I made in my long-gone teenage years. We walked part of the way back along the LGC Greenway, which is a network of paths around the outskirts of Letchworth. We hadn’t been along this bit before, and there are good views across to Wilbury Hills and the Icknield Way.

Photos taken with Fujifilm X10 and processed in ACR and Perfect Effects.

In this week’s gallery we have a trio of Christmas trees, a flying robin and a wintery view.

This week was illuminating: we have fireworks, streetlights, strip lights and moonlight.
